12/03/04 Three months after its creation, MitoProd obtained resources to finance its research and development program through a 140 000 euros Grant for « Innovations » and a 25 000 euros to recruit new staff. This grant is a follow up of the previous « Program for Innovations » co-financed by the CNRS and the ANVAR that previously gave MitoProd a 110 000 euros grant for « Technology Transfer ». This operation allows MitoProd to build up its operational funds, to follow its research activities and to adapt its technology to the governmental policy concerning the production of biological molecules. Located in Aquitaine, a French region particularly active in the Bio-production field, MitoProd is beneficiating from the Savoir Faire and the regional ambition to develop Biotechnologies. The MitoProd Team has therefore the financial resources for developing its strategy and creating values by rounding up the financial phase of the company creation thanks to a combination between personal and ANVAR – Region Aquitaine funds. The next financial steps will be marked by a venture capital fund raising.
